Jayson Tatum scored 27 points and the Boston Celtics rallied from a 17-point deficit from the third quarter to beat the Indiana Pacers 116-111 on Tuesday night.
Jaylen Brown added 20 points to the cause of the Celtics, who outscored their rivals 33-18 in the final period.
The Pacers led 88-71 in the third quarter, and still had an 11 lead at the start of the fourth quarter. But Tatum had 14 points and the Celtics were up 109-100.
The match was similar to the one played by the same teams on Sunday. The Pacers then had a great lead in the third quarter but the Celtics reacted and moved up.
Indiana won that game 108-107 with a layup from Domantas Sabonis with 8.4 seconds left.
Victor Oladipo, who missed the previous engagement after scoring 22 points in each of his other opening games, contributed 24 points, including 20 in the first three quarters, for the Pacers.
TJ Warren added 17 units, of which 15 came in the third quarter.
