Tattoos can lead to mutations and even to cancer, some colors being more dangerous than others, warn scientists.

According to research by the European Chemicals Agency, tattoos can give allergies, due to the substances that enter the composition of the inks, but can even lead to mutations or cancer, informs The Independent.

The composition of these inks is not regulated by the EU, the daily shows, often using cheap raw materials from China.

Research has shown that red, blue and green inks can lead to granulomas (a small, chronic, nodular, circumscribed, small inflammatory tumor of small size that has accumulated from a large number of large phagocytic cells – DEX).
