Gaza – An Israeli-French tattoo artist says that despite being imprisoned by Hamas for 54 days, she was not raped for the only reason. Mia Scheme (21) informed that she was not raped because the wife of the person who imprisoned her was outside the room where she was locked. Mia, who was released from Hamas custody after 54 days, disclosed this in an interview with Channel 13.
“His children and wife were outside the room. That’s why he didn’t rape me. His wife was annoyed that he and I were in the same room. I was locked in a dark room. He was not allowed to talk to anyone, to see or hear him.”- Mia said. Mia revealed that she was completely under their surveillance, starved and abused. Mia also said that at one point she even thought that they would kill her.
Mia said that the gazes of the Hamas group were unbearable and she felt that she was being tortured with their eyes. Mia said that once he even told her that he did not love his wife. “There’s someone watching you, twenty-four hours a day, raping you with their eyes.” Fear of being raped, fear of dying… I was really scared. Although he saw me with hostility, the fact that his wife was at home gave me some courage” – Mia said.
Mia was abducted from a concert in eastern Israel on October 7 last year. They became known to the outside world through a video released by Hamas that showed prisoners being treated well. Mia was also freed as part of a temporary Israeli-Hamas ceasefire handover of prisoners and hostages.
