President Rumen Radev must get rid of his anti-corruption secretary Plamen Uzunov before the presidential campaign starts in the fall, advised Tatiana Doncheva of “Get out. Get out!” in front of bTV.
“It gives the impression that in the name of his friendship with a man who may not deserve it, he is able to sacrifice the second term,” Doncheva explained.
The statement of the leader of “Movement 21” comes as a result of several events related to the presidential secretary Plamen Uzunov.
He was filmed picking up an envelope with unknown contents, brought by the former notorious customs chief Petko Petkov.
The conversation between the two in a restaurant in Sofia is without phones, they are left in a remote closet.
“I haven’t worked at the customs for more than 10 years, but I’m at a completely different job. Uzunov and I have been friends for a long time. The video was obviously shot by the cameras of the restaurant where we drank coffee. “I am entering an explanatory regime. To be called where I need to be and I will give explanations. But I will also seek my rights in court against anyone who tarnishes my name – mine and my family’s,” Petko Petkov said.
Asked what was in the envelope, Petkov said a “personal gift”, without specifying what.
For its part, the presidency said it would “not comment on manipulations.”
