Inter Miami manager Tata Martino has once again weighed in on the future of former Barcelona stars. This time, however, one of them has yet to play in MLS.
Ahead of the club’s game against Atlanta United, the 61-year-old addressed rumors of whether Neymar name for the Herons. According to reports, the Brazilian superstar was looking for a house in Miami.
“Now everyone who buys a home in Miami comes? Ha. By Leo [Messi] and the guys who are already here, anything is possible but I can’t imagine if the league doesn’t make the salary issue more flexible, as it would have been done,” he said.
“The truth is that MLS rules are strict and unbreakable, unless the MLS decides to change … today this is impossible, so there is no more continuity in the conversation.”
In addition, Martino provided an update on the former Barcelona midfielder’s fitness Sergio Busquets ahead of game two of their three-game series.
The 36-year-old was absent from training on Friday due to illness and, according to the manager, he will be monitored on a daily basis.
