Reporting from The Hans India, Tata was able to take orders thanks to the acquisition of the India Wistron production line.
“The assembly for this iPhone model is different from before. This change signals Apple’s plans to move production outside of China,” wrote the page, quoted Monday (15/5/2023).
During 2023, Apple is already making iPhone SE, iPhone 12 and iPhone 14, in India.
As for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, it will follow the type-C port, as a charging and data transfer solution common to many Android phones.
Until the iPhone 14 Series, Apple used the lightning charging port, which was difficult for charging.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will also be equipped with a front-facing camera and a face ID sensor. This is the same as the technology on the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.
As is known, Tata is working hard to acquire Apple’s Wistron production factory, to produce Apple’s iPhones to shift its production pipeline outside of China, especially the iPhone 14.
Apple also opened its first physical outlets in Mumbai and Delhi last month. Apple CEO, Tim Cook even attended the inauguration, and met with Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
