Taste of the Valley: Napa Food Community News

Every year on Cinco de Mayo (except 2020), La Toque chef Ken Frank turns his kitchen into his staff to cook delicious Latino food inspired by his cultural heritage, with proceeds going to Open Doors to support the programs. latinx community in Napa.

This year, the gala dinner will raise funds for the Delayed Registration for Children Arrivals (DACA) program, to help children obtain legal immigration status. Registration with DACA costs $ 500 and many families cannot afford it. This is where Open Ports comes in, with money and help with paperwork.

This year, with the ability to come back once again, La Toque will do its best for a roster that includes:

• French fries, guacamole and our family’s salsa

Seafood Tower With Black Chile Water

• Strawberry Churro Sandwich with Infinated Rompup

The cost is $ 75 per person, which is a steal to enjoy La Toque, awarded a Michelin star. Seating will be limited due to social distancing requirements. Make reservations at bit.ly/LTPACincoDeMayo2021
