Tarrant and Dallas counties accept child registration for coronavirus vaccine. | Univision 23 Dallas Ft. Worth KUVN

Dallas, TX. – If you live in Dallas and Tarrant counties, you can already register your children over 12 years old on the vaccination list against coronavirus.

But the federal government still needs to approve the vaccine to be used in this group of minors.

Last week the pharmaceutical company Pfizer asked the FDA to approve its vaccine for use in children 12-15 years of age. The federal government has yet to make a decision.

Fort Worth pediatrician Maria Levy urges parents not to let their guard down. He says that most of his patients who are infected with coronavirus attended a party or other family event. He urges families to follow all precautionary measures against the coronavirus, as he says only 20 percent of Texans are currently vaccinated against the virus.
