Since February 20, 2022, there is no no more emergencies at night (between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.) at the hospital from Lavaur (Tarn), lack of emergency physicians in sufficient numbers.

Terlier writes to Véran
For his part, the deputy John Terlier wrote to the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran. “This temporary situation is very worrying and puts patients in great difficulty in their care and should not be called to last, warn the deputy LREM. “I spoke with Mr. Olivier Rastouil, deputy director of the Lavaur site, and he confirmed to me that he had sent the ministry a request to be able to benefit from reinforcement under the health reserve from March 6, ”he continues in his letter to Olivier Véran.
“I am well aware of the difficulties you are facing in the current management of this reserve in view of the health situation, but I wanted to alert you to the urgency of taking this request into account. I hope that this file can be treated as a priority and with the greatest benevolence, ”concludes the deputy.
Call before coming to the emergency room
Concretely, on site, patients are invited, between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. to always call 3966 or 15 before moving. “Vital emergencies will thus be systematically regulated by the medical teams of Samu 81 and taken care of if necessary by the Smur of the Lavaur Hospital Center, at home, outside and including, if necessary, at the hospital gates”, says the hospital.
“Patients who come directly to the site may also be oriented either towards the center 15 (dedicated button 1 on the front of the emergency department), or by the usual system of recourse to the gyneco-obstetrics service (dedicated button 2 on the front of the emergency department)”, continues the hospital. The short-term hospitalization unit also remains open.
