The purpose of the Tarn-et-Garonne Work Medals Association is to bring together, on a voluntary basis, the holders of work medals, regional, departmental and municipal medals, agricultural honor medals, to maintain and promote the values attached to these decorations, organize mutual aid between its members, assist the public authorities in promoting work.
It held its general assembly on April 27 at the Louis-Ormières center under the chairmanship of Michel Laurens and in the presence of the president of the national federation of decorated workers, Françoise Côte. Following a mass defection due to Covid, it was vital for the association to recruit new members.
Thus, during the day of seniors at Eurythmy, she offered to help people entitled to decorations to fulfill their request. 10% of them then joined the association, which enabled it to be maintained. (1). The president deplored the impoliteness of certain companies in not responding when the association offers them to come with the flag to restore the ceremony by giving it a patriotic connotation.
All the balance sheets presented having been voted favourably, Claude Tougne and Francis Causse were elected to the Board of Directors.
Then, the association, declared as a patriotic association, presented the new flag which its godmother, Aurore Kothe, officially handed over to Jacques Granier.
Six medals were given to the members present. Grand Or : Marie-Claire Marty, Martine Tison, Jean Louis Fabre, Francis Causse and Thierry Varutti; Or : Maurice Hiron ; Argent : Nicole Navarro.
A testimony of recognition from the association was given to Ms. Hubert-Boyer, representative of the Family Allowance Fund “for her involvement in recognizing her employees”.
The ceremony closed, all the participants gathered around a cocktail reception.
