After a long wait and postponed concerts due to the pandemic, on December 21 in Riga you will finally be able to listen and watch the symphometal diva Tarja Turunen in person.
Tarja Turunena from Finland is known as the former voice of the group “Nightwish”, but now for a long time also as a very successful solo artist, who has not performed in Latvia so far.
For the first meeting, one of the most famous Finnish sopranos has prepared a special Christmas program “Christmas Together”, which will be performed on December 21 in the Riga cultural space “Hanzas Perons”.
“Accompanied by only guitar, cello and keys, but above all, the phenomenal voice of Tarja! Be it Feliz Navidad, War Is Over or even Ave Maria – you will hardly hear such versions of these classic Christmas songs, ”the concert organizers tempt. Tickets are already on sale.
It should be reminded that Tarja is one of the brightest female vocal stars in the field of symphometal and hard rock – a three-octave lyrical soprano, who studied singing at the Sibelius Academy in Kuopio and the Karlsruhe Academy of Music, is not only a versatile soloist, but also a composer and songwriter.
