Villena
Villena will anticipate Christmas Eve and celebrate its evening version with ‘Tardebuena’, an open, popular and festive prelude on the afternoon of December 24 that aims to fill the city streets with music from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The music band Adelum will be the star of this first edition of ‘Tardebuena’, an initiative of the Festival Department directed by José Ferri.
“Our proposal is for a citizen, collective and festive celebration before each of the neighbors go home to celebrate Christmas Eve with their family or friends. From five in the afternoon until seven thirty, we will take a tour with music, inviting all the neighbors to enjoy the party in our streets,” commented the mayor of Fiestas.

The ‘Tardebuena’ will start on the city’s Paseo Chapí and will advance through the streets with the music of Christmas carols and other popular proposals until it tours the Plaza Mayor and ends in the central Plaza de Santiago.
Along the route, passers-by and neighbors who come to enjoy the music will be given a Christmas hat and neck gaiters as part of the Waterparties campaign, an initiative to reduce alcohol consumption. “This first edition is a test and we will see the public’s acceptance to decide next Christmas if we keep it,” commented Ferri.
Villena has also organized a similar activity, in this case under the name ‘Tardevieja’, another preview of the festive celebration of the last night of the year, but in the evening hours.
