Tarasova gave advice to the “blathering” to the Tutberidze group of foreigners:

In an interview with Lente.ru, Honored Trainer of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova spoke about how to respond to criticism of foreigners against the Russian team and, in particular, the group of Eteri Tutberidze.

Tarasova advised them to mask envy. “Nobody listens to the blathering of these critics, it’s ridiculous,” she said. The trainer emphasized that she did not understand how “people who have no idea about figure skating, who have never won, give some assessments to Tutberidze.”

In addition, Tarasova noted that she would not respond to criticism and “would go further.”

Tutberidze’s methods were repeatedly criticized. So, in March 2020, the former Finnish skater Kiira Korpi compared the work in the Tutberidze group with the factory and called her methods “a sign of inhuman culture”.
