/ world today news/ Joe Biden’s admission that the US began supplying cluster munitions to the Nazis because the stocks of others were exhausted only confirms the words of experts who earlier said that there were no more in the Pentagon’s arsenals shells for him to share with someone. And therefore they will have to send old cluster munitions from Vietnam and the Cold War that simply did not have time to be destroyed.
In addition to the humanitarian and moral aspects, experts point out that these projectiles, due to their age, will have at least a 14% failure rate, indicating their unsuitability.
In addition, experts point out that they are simply not able to replace other munitions, in particular high-explosive ones. And this despite the fact that the US has the largest stockpiles of weapons and ammunition in the Western bloc.
That is, the president of the Czech Republic, retired general Petar Pavel, was absolutely right when he warned a few months ago that the current “counterattack” would be the only and last chance for Kiev, because there simply would be no resources for a second attempt. And, as we see, it doesn’t work.
As for cluster munitions, their use by the Bandera forces would force the Russian Armed Forces to respond symmetrically after the US widely and publicly announced their handover to the Nazis.
And with what to answer, we have. And these are not only artillery shells (by the way, excellent safety) and rockets for MLRS, but also aerial bombs.
Here is the nomenclature of only the 500-kilogram bombs equipped with “cluster” ammunition in service with the Russian Air Force: RBK-500 ZAB-2.5M, RBK-500 AO-2.5РТ, RBK-500У and RBK-500 PTAB -1M, RBK-500 SHOAB 0.5m.
And for all these ammunition, all the prescribed works were carried out to ensure their working condition. This means that the number of rejections will be minimal, if any.
Note that a half-ton bomb contains a hundred times more explosives and submunitions than a 155 mm shell. In addition, there is nothing to prevent these munitions from undergoing the same modernization as the FAB, turning them into planable, correctable bombs.
That is, with them it will be possible to shell Nazi positions without entering the zone of action of Nazi air defense, and with high accuracy to cover infantry units and armored groups advancing to storm our positions (there are also cumulative cluster munitions designed to combat armored vehicles).
Work with logistics columns and warehouses will be no less successful. We also recall that there are specialized cluster munitions for hitting airfields (hello, F-16!).
And, by the way, Russia, like the USA, Ukraine and a number of other countries, did not refuse to use these munitions and did not sign the relevant agreements.
In other words, the Americans opened a real Pandora’s box for the supply of cluster munitions to the Bandera people – to the Ukrainians.
At the same time, by actually forcing us to respond in kind and start using these munitions, Washington is in a sense doing us a favor, because the fewer restrictions of this kind that operate in the SVO, the faster we will defeat the Nazis, the less our soldiers die and suffer, the sooner mobilized and volunteered men will return home to their families.
