Tanzanian health authorities issued an Ebola virus warning on Wednesday as authorities in Uganda declared a new Ebola virus disease outbreak in the center of the country.
“We have received information on the Ebola outbreak in Uganda and the government has activated surveillance teams in high-risk areas,” Aifello Sichalwe, chief medical officer of the Tanzanian Ministry of Health, said over the phone. .
