Tanya Emmerich is a choreographer and dancer who can draw on a wide range of experience for her work. She started as an assistant director (Junges Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf, Theater am Schlachthof Neuss), then trained as a dance teacher for stage dance (initially ArtEZ Arnhem, completed at the Weberschule Düsseldorf) and also studied German and musicology (HHU/RSH Düsseldorf). She produces and dances her own dance theater pieces (»Sie und Ich«), choreographs regularly for dance and theater productions and has sung and danced for several years in the family weeks at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf. She is also on stage for a children’s concert series by the Bochum Symphony Orchestra and teaches various dance styles (including at the tanzhaus nrw). At the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus she developed the choreography for Bonn Park’s production of the space opera »Return to the Stars«.
