A tanker truck with recycled food waste exploded on the E6 near Råde on Wednesday morning. Parts of the tanker are scattered over a long distance.
The explosion occurred south of Jonstenkrysset in Råde shortly before 10.30 am on Wednesday, writes East police district on X/Twitter.
– The tank has cracked, so it is fertilizer that has washed out onto the roadway, says supervisor Hans Erik Tysdal at East 110 central to Moss Newspaper.
At 12 o’clock the police announced that extensive clean-up work was underway.
The E6 is closed between Jonstenkrysset and Missingmyr in the southbound direction. Until further notice, traffic is diverted to county road 118 through Karlshus, according to the police.
No one is said to have been injured in the accident.
