A fire broke out in the engine room of the tanker TIGER SEA on April 17th in the Riau Archipelago waters of the South China Sea. Reports from local sources suggest that five Indonesian crew members were lost in the accident, while others claim that one crew member died in the explosion and two others went missing. As of April 19th, the status and condition of the ship remain unknown, as well as the fate of the crew members. The tanker departed from Johor, Malaysia, and its destination is unknown, with the last known AIS data dated April 13th while it was at Johor Anchorage.
