Cairo – Muhammad Ibrahim –
The Lebanese artist Tania Kassis celebrated Lebanon’s Independence Day in her own way. Tania was keen to document her moments of happiness by sharing a video from one of her visits to the students of Notre Dame de Nazareth College through her official account on the famous photo and video exchange site “Instagram”, and she attached to the picture a comment in which she said: “Celebrating the 80th anniversary of Lebanon’s independence was truly heart-warming after I was invited to meet the young students at Notre Dame College in Nazareth.”
She added: “Watching the teachers incorporating songs into music classes was a delightful surprise. Meeting the enthusiastic young students who sang a personal welcome song for me followed by my song ‘Trabak Ya Lebanon’ filled my day with joy. Their pride, whether wearing rice or the Lebanese army uniform, was a touching sight.”
Tania Kassis: Music represents healing and its ability to weave threads of compassion through our lives
She continued: “Amidst the sea of children looking for hugs, one of them, Ella, stood out. I did not know that she had lost her mother in the tragic Beirut explosion on August 4. She knew that my meeting brought her happiness, and she talked about our meeting with her father. It brought tears to my eyes. I feel blessed to share my talent, gratitude, and the touching connection with… Ella is a reminder of the power of music to heal and its ability to weave threads of compassion through our lives.”
She noted: “Each of these children carries a unique power to make a difference. Embracing their talents, sharing their dreams, and supporting each other. In the fabric of our country’s history, they are the vibrant threads that shape a brighter tomorrow.”
Tania Kassis thanks these people
She concluded her speech by saying: “Many thanks to Josian Chilala, Sor Majida, Sor Haifa and all the lovely team of teachers for the warm welcome and thank you Yasmina Malik for making this happen.”
Immediately after sharing the post, the post gained admiration from the audience, wishing peace to the Lebanese people.

Learn the lyrics of the song “Ya Jerusalem”
Tired, sad
Heavy with moaning
Exhausted, you scream
I lost thousands of boys
O land of the prophets
You call for peace
Your eyes never sleep
You refuse to bend
O Jerusalem, you are among us
Oh Jerusalem, we are here
You are the home of religions
You are a human incubator
Your streets are screaming and angry
You demand the truth
In our hearts you are precious
I carried the issues of the oppressed
O refuge of the believers
O voice of the silent
We will visit you humbly
Prostrating and praying
O Jerusalem, you are among us
Oh Jerusalem, we are here
You are the home of religions
You are a human incubator
O Jerusalem, you are among us
Oh Jerusalem, we are here
O peoples of the world
