Bayern Munich announced earlier today that Tanguy Nianzou would be out for “the next few games.” According the club, the 18-year-old defender tore a muscle bundle in his right thigh in training this past Friday. He had made his comeback from injury and Bayern debut in a 21-minute appearance against VfB Stuttgart two weeks prior.
As Sport1 Florian Plettenberg notes, the injury is in the same thigh that Nianzou injured at the beginning of the season in training for France’s U20 team.
Update staff: Nianzou has the torn muscle bundle in the same leg. Probably 1-2 months according to Flick. Süle should be back on Wednesday. Goretza sensed something earlier. @ SPORT1 #FC Bayern

The prognosis is not good: after Bayern’s 1-1 draw against Union Berlin, Hansi Flick stated that Nianzou will probably miss another month or two to the latest injury.
The injuries thus continue to pile up for Bayern, even as Alphonso Davies and Corentin Tolisso both recently returned to the team. Flick also said that Leon Goretzka came of the pitch because of a problem. His status and the nature of any injury remain to be seen.
