Ndombele has seen a turnaround in North London, having earned Mourinho’s trust after a troubled first season at the club.
The club’s record signing is now a regular in Tottenham’s starting eleven, but Mourinho insists that Ndombele still has more to give to develop his enormous potential.
“Tanguy, I have to be honest, Tanguy is the type of person who always expects more than he gives you, because he is so talented that you always expect more,” he told Canal +.

“So he’s the guy that I love him as a player, but it frustrates me a bit because I think he can be so much better, so much better than he is.”
He added: «When I see, for example, that France and Tanguy weren’t playing, I don’t blame Didier [Deschamps]. I blame Tanguy, because he is better than the others.
