Tango is the puppy that Elmo adopted and will now be the star figure at Sesame Place San Diego, set to make her debut on February 4th in the famous Sesame Street Party Parade.
In addition to seeing this character in the popular street parade, the public will be able to take photos with this adorable big-eared dog that first debuted in the 2021 special program “Furry Friends Forever: Elmo Gets a Puppy” where the story of how Elmo found Tango and adopted her so that she would later also be part of the 52nd season of Sesame Street in both its animated and live versions.
The welcome ceremony will take place next Saturday at 12 pm at the Dance Party Stage, in Sesame Place San Diego, where from then on Tango will be present every Saturday and Sunday in February, as well as Friday the 17th and Monday the 20th. .
In addition, visitors will be able to participate in “Elmo & Tango’s Welcome Day Scavenger Hunt”, a fun brain teaser in which participants will search for all the items Elmo needs to take care of Tango. Upon completing the list, guests will be able to head to Hooper’s Store and pick a pet prize, including Sesame Place-themed bandanas or tennis balls. Additionally, on select dates there will be a special item hidden in what will be the “Tango’s Treat Seek”, whoever finds it will receive a special BarkBox prize.
And this is just the beginning. For the summer of 2023, Sesame Place San Diego will add two attractions with the Splash Castle del Conde, a multi-level water game for the whole family, and the opening of the Sunny Day Café, where guests will be able to enjoy a covered, buffet-style restaurant, accompanied by your favorite Sesame Street characters, endless photo opportunities, music, and dance.

The Annual Pass is priced at $141, includes exclusive character interaction opportunities, discounts on food and merchandise, and early entry to water features throughout the summer.
