Tangerines and clementines should be as heavy as possible when purchased
Before peeling tangerines or clementines, there are already some signs that the fruit is of good quality. The weight can provide the first point in favor: if the citrus fruits are heavy, this indicates that they contain a lot of juice, which is certainly the most important thing besides the aroma. In the case of particularly light tangerines, however, the pulp is usually already dry.
