Jakarta –
Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini was surprised that there was extortion of ‘crack money’ that had to be paid by recipients of social assistance (social assistance) in Tangerang City. The Tangerang City Prosecutor’s Office began investigating the case.
“The Tangerang City State Attorney has detected this and around the beginning of June 2021 we have carried out an investigation (still in process) and we have summoned several parties related to the distribution of BPNT Social Assistance in one area in Tangerang City,” said Tangerang City Kajari I Dewa Gede Wirajana, in his statement, Thursday (29/7/2021).
According to Dewa Wirajana, his party will investigate this case thoroughly. He promised to enforce the rules in the Tangerang City area.
“Currently, we will follow up by developing these findings for the entire Tangerang City area, if there are individuals who take advantage of the situation by abusing the distribution of assistance, both from the Ministry of Social Affairs and from the Tangerang City Government, we will act according to the provisions of the applicable legislation,” he said.
“This has hurt the trust and efforts of the government in efforts to overcome the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are committed to taking firm action,” he said.
Known, Risma was surprised to find there was a recipient social assistance who were asked for plastic bag money until the aid received was cut. Risma also asked people who receive social assistance, both Cash Social Assistance (BST), Family Hope Program (PKH), and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT)/Sembako Program, to refuse if asked for levies in any form.
Risma found out about the plastic bag money and the social assistance cuts during a sudden inspection at RT 03 RW 03 Tangerang City, Banten, Wednesday (28/7). A recipient of BPNT assistance, Aryanih, admitted that he was asked for crackle money by certain parties related to the assistance program he received from the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos).
“You should not want to be asked for plastic bag money or whatever it’s called by a certain party, because your rights are full and without the slightest deduction. Don’t be afraid, I guarantee it, so write me a letter about this,” said Risma, as quoted from Between, Thursday (29/7/2021).
In addition to being asked for plastic bag money, there were residents who admitted to Risma that social assistance received is not appropriate. The confession came from a resident who received BPNT, Maryanih, who revealed that the price of the component goods received did not match or did not reach Rp 200 thousand per month.
“Earlier, it was calculated by Mr. from the Food Task Force/Police Headquarters, the price of the components received was only Rp. 177 thousand from what should have been Rp. 200 thousand. So there is Rp. 23 thousand, try to imagine Rp. 23 thousand times 18.8 million,” said Risma furiously.
