The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Tangerang, Banten Province, is preparing a Rapid Action Team (TGC) to be alert to Extraordinary Events (KLB) outbreaks of a new clade Avian Flu virus in the area.

“We will intensify the surveillance team and fast action team, especially in detecting epidemiological signals in the field,” said Sumihar in Tangerang, Monday.
He said mitigating infectious diseases was carried out through coordination with related agencies to be aware of an increase in zoonotic HPAI cases.
In addition, his party will re-activate Participatory Disease Surveillance and Response (PDSR) by conducting a search and responding if there are reports of cases that lead to the Bird Flu.
Furthermore, the Tangerang District Health Office carried out preparedness from the clinical side of health facilities, including in hospitals (rs), health centers, clinics, to health-related professional organizations.
“A number of health facilities have been alerted for the management of suspected bird flu cases in accordance with the applicable guidelines. Increase laboratory capacity for examining samples from suspected cases,” he said.
Until now, he said, cases of new clade Avian Flu in Tangerang Regency itself have not been detected, but this requires comprehensive mitigation.
“So far we haven’t found any cases, but we continue to monitor and coordinate regarding the development of this case,” he said.
He also appealed to the public to always apply Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS). Then his party asked to report to the local health officer if there was a sudden death of poultry in large numbers.
“If people experience symptoms of bird flu and have a history of contact with risk factors, go to the nearest health facility,” he said.
