Dozens of taxi drivers gathered to mourn their colleague who died on Saturday.
More than 70 taxis with their drivers held a moment of silence in memory of the taxi driver who died last Saturday at Tampere Keskustori at 12 o’clock.
The bells of the old church rang, the rain stopped and the square had a palpably devout atmosphere.
A colleague and friend of the 54-year-old driver Jaakko Grönfors27, misses the driver.
– I have cried a lot. He was a kind-hearted, warm friend, we were also in contact in our free time. In 2002, a serious traffic accident happened in my own family and the victim had to receive a disability pension. The memories came to mind, but this is where I lost a friend and colleague – a person died, Jaakko said before a quiet moment.
He thought it was a nice gesture that the bus drivers – those who can for work – keep a quiet moment next to their cars.

“Has touched Finland”
– The moment was touching here at the market, there were a lot of cars. The incident has affected the whole of Finland, anything can happen in traffic, anytime. There was also a memorable moment in Tampereen Aluetaksi Oy’s office, CEO Tero Kallio says with watery eyes right after the occasion.
There were also tears in the eyes During the day and With an oventhe women spoke with emotion.
– I know that the deceased was a respected and awarded driver, a helpful, friendly person, a good and skilled driver, Päivi said swallowing.
– This is an absolutely incomprehensible chain. A taxi, a member of the defense force’s staff and the police were also involved. This interests people and everyone is probably sensitized by the fact how dangerous it is in traffic, anything can happen, Vuokko said and wipes his eyes.
