A month after Ouraika, who offered a first Group victory to the Haras de Bouquetot stallion Zelzal (Sea The Stars), it is the turn of Dolce Zel, again in the United States, to triumph in the Florida Oaks (Gr .3). This former protege of Alessandro Botti, who pleasantly won at Longchamp in a maiden, was competing in her first race under the guidance of Chad Brown. Benefiting from a good course on the rope side, Dolce Zel traces a beautiful straight line and comes to dominate, in a hard fight, her training companion Spicer (Quality Road). Bred by Scuderia Micolo Snc, Dolce Zel is the sister of Pure Zen (Zoffany) who won the Prix François Boutin (L) and ranked second in the Prix Sandringham Gr.2).
