The Washington Capitals beat the Carolina Hurricanes 4-0 at home. The New York Islanders lost 4-3 to the Vancouver Canucks despite being up front twice. The Chicago Blackhawks had a 4-3 home win after overtime against the Edmonton Oilers, Alex Debrincat scoring to win. Leon Draisaitl scored a goal.
The Montreal Canadiens won the away game at the Calgary Flames 5:4 aet, Ben Chiarot scored the final point. The Arizona Coyotes beat the Colorado Avalanche 2-1 at home.
The Vegas Golden Knights lost 5-2 at home to the Boston Bruins, with Craig Smith scoring three goals.
