TAMI NEILSON – CHICKABOOM! DELUXE

The album “CHICKABOOM!” Tami Neilson’s birthday is one year old and since the artist has not been able to give him life enough because of COVID, she has decided to rescue him in Deluxe Edition format. Regarding the lp, I will put aside its analysis since it is from last year and in its day we focused a lot on it, but on the added special consisting of a quintet of very special songs that make it up: five songs, two from “Chickaboom” (You Were Mine and Call Your Mama), one from “Sassafrass” (Woman’s Pain), one from “Dynamite” (Walk) and a version of “Cry Myself to Sleep” in the Maori language called “Roimata” and which had appeared in an album by various artists in defense of the aborigines (Waitata Anthems), all of them recorded live at Neil Finn’s iconic Roundhead Studios with the addition of a twelve-piece Big Boss Orchestra for their country’s National Radio. The result of this collaboration is what is added in this deluxe or anniversary edition

Undoubtedly, these interpretations are the best of the artist who offers the best of her repertoire when the issue is more retro. To my taste, these five songs are very inspired by the way they are interpreted and the vocal power of Divas like Shirley Bassey or Judy Gr.Join to the Bootleg Series Num 1. Songs For Sinners is the greatness of the artist more than in the ordinary cut lps that has thrown out.
