Elián Ángel Valenzuela, known artistically as L-Gante, faces a trial in the Criminal Court No. 3 of Mercedes on charges of threats and illegal deprivation of liberty. This incident occurred after friends of the singer, known as “La Mafilia”, were arrested after an altercation in a bowling alley in the Conurbano. According to case documents, L-Gante reportedly held the victims for approximately 20 minutes, demanding the release of his friends.
This Tuesday, during the first hearing of the trial, L-Gante asked to testify, recounting his version of the events that occurred during a pilgrimage in General Rodríguez. According to his testimony, a traffic incident with a woman in a van triggered the situation that led to him being charged. Prosecutor Adrián Landini is carrying out the accusation in two files, one of which includes charges for possession of narcotics and qualified concealment.
The court decided that the singer not be detained during the process, considering that there is no risk of flight. This decision was made after evaluating his presence in the courtroom as a sign that the musician is willing to face trial.
