Talks between Putin and Erdogan ended

According to Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov, the presidents adopted a joint statement following the talks.

According to the Kremlin website, at the beginning of the meeting, Putin said that the presidents would talk about major joint projects – such as the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant, the work of the Turkish Stream, which, according to the Russian president, supplies Russian gas “not only to consumers in Turkey but also for consumers in Europe”.

Putin also raised the issue of the supply of Ukrainian grain from the Black Sea ports.

He also added that the parties will discuss “security issues in the region, primarily the Syrian crisis.”

Putin and Erdogan did not discuss possible production in Russia or the purchase of Bayraktar drones from Turkey, Peskov told RIA Novosti

Whether Putin discussed the war in Ukraine with Erdogan is not yet known.
