‘New chances’
Stutterheim says he regrets the broadcaster’s decision. “BNN-VARA (maker of De Vooravond and part of Op1, ed.) Would have liked to stay, but the decision was made broadcasting the broadcaster. On the one hand, a pity, of course. But on the other hand, such a step also offers new opportunities. We still have the vision to make the Westergas a cultural village. From 2010 talk shows De Wereld Draait Door and Pauw & Witteman were recorded on the Westergasterrein. After that, the talk shows Pauw, Jinek, Op1, M and De Vooravond were also given a place there. A spokesperson for the NPO says that the reporting is correct. About the reason for the departure, he says: “The NPO and the broadcasters are always looking at all possibilities regarding the locations of programs, also with an eye on efficiency and costs. We are now looking for a new and efficient location. ”
Earlier this month, broadcaster AVROTROS left Vondel CS in the Vondelpark. The broadcaster then announced that it is no longer profitable to keep the property due to the centralization of the NPO and ‘media legal provisions’. The AVROTROS has also returned to Hilversum.
