The talk show The Talk is also not broadcast this week due to an ongoing investigation into presenter Sharon Osbourne. Broadcaster CBS is investigating, because Osbourne is accused of racism.
The presenter was discredited by a discussion with her colleague Sheryl Underwood. In the discussion, Osbourne defended Piers Morgan. He left the program Good Morning Britain after questioning Meghan Markle’s statements about suicidal thoughts.
Underwood asked Osbourne on the air what people should think she seemed to approve of statements labeled as racist. Osbourne later apologized via social media, but stories have since circulated about racist and homophobic comments she allegedly made behind the scenes in recent years. Osbourne denies making these statements.
CBS is now researching it and until then The Talk not broadcast. This is the second week in which the program is not broadcast. A spokesperson for the channel does not dare to say when The Talk returns.
