Taliban which now dominates Afghanistan showing prototypes first supercar domestically assembled. The supercar named Mada 9 is assembled with a Toyota Corolla engine and gets the name inspiration from Australian wildlife.
As reported news.com.au, Friday (20/1/2023), the black supercar is said to be assembled by the Afghanistan Technical Vocational Institute and a car design company called ENTOP. The appearance of the supercar with a sleek engine has attracted global attention.
With a shape similar to the Lamborghini Aventador, this supercar made in Afghanistan has a frightening style, with a suspension pushrod motorsport-inspired and slim LED lights.
But a V12 engine like the one in Lamborghini doesn’t exist in the supercar made in Afghanistan. Instead, the sleek coupe uses the modest 1.8-liter engine from a Toyota Corolla mounted in the center of the car, which drives the rear wheels.
However, such a combination is also found in a Lotus Elise, and few enthusiasts would argue that the British light car is nothing more than a brilliant sports car.
ENTOP chief executive Muhammad Raza Ahmadi, in a statement via a YouTube video, revealed that the hand-assembled prototype was called Mada 9. However, said Ahmadi, the name could still change later, which was inspired by the wildlife found by European explorers when they first set foot. in Australia.
“We meant to name this car ‘Black Swan’. You know, before the discovery of the continent of Australia, people only saw white swans. At that time, when people wanted to make examples of weird things, they called them ‘swans. black’ (black swan),” explained Ahmadi.
“Swans are white, but when the continent of Australia was discovered, people saw the opposite,” he added.
