Taliban Removes Murals and Disperses Afghan Female Demonstrators

Not only that, the Taliban also removed a mural honoring the anthropologist Nancy Dupree who was instrumental in recording Afghanistan’s cultural heritage herself.

The Taliban, Muttaqi said, also used slogans on the walls and the raising of a new flag ahead of the announcement of the new Afghan government cabinet.

Meanwhile, Afghan women say they are worried about living under the coming Taliban government. They again staged demonstrations in Kabul on Saturday.

The demonstration was initially peaceful. Demonstrators lay wreaths outside Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defense in honor of soldiers who died fighting the Taliban.
