1. Taliban Fly Black Hawk Helicopter, One Hanging
The Taliban are reported to be flying US-made Black Hawk helicopters in Kandahar, Afghanistan, with one member hanging underneath.
This moment was caught on camera and then went viral on social media in the past day. Initially, netizens suspected the Taliban were hanging people from helicopters as punishment.
Later, however, a veteran journalist in Afghanistan, Bilal Sarwary, said that the person hanging was a member of the Taliban. The personnel tried to raise the Taliban flag from the air, but failed.
This news put the US in the spotlight. Their haste to leave Afghanistan is considered to have made most of their defense equipment in the country fall into the hands of the Taliban.
2. Japan Finds Stainless Steel Particles in Moderna Vaccines
In addition to the Taliban issue, the issue of Moderna vaccine contamination in Japan is also in the spotlight. Now, the Japanese Ministry of Health reports that it has suspended Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine because it found stainless steel particles in it.
The findings are the result of an investigation by local distributor Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. The Japanese Ministry of Health hopes the findings do not pose additional health risks.
“Stainless steel is routinely used in heart valves, joint replacements, as well as sutures, and metal staples. Thus, it is not expected that the injection of the particles identified in these injections will result in an increased medical risk in Japan,” said a joint statement from the Ministry of Health of Japan and Takeda.
3. Kim Jong-un Appears in Public, Looks Skinny
