Taliban militants executed 13 Hazaras (the country’s third largest ethnic group) in August 2021. There could also be a teenage girl among them.
This was announced by the international organization Amnesty International on Tuesday, October 5. As noted, they were killed in the village of Kahor in the Daikundi province on August 30, reports dpa.
According to the study, two people were civilians who tried to escape, and eleven were representatives of the security forces. Moreover, nine of them were killed after they surrendered to the Taliban.
There was a 17-year-old girl among the civilians.
According to Amnesty International Secretary General Agnes Callamard, such data is proof that the Taliban are committing the same horrendous crimes as during their past “reign”. Note that in the late 90s, the Hazaras were also persecuted by the Taliban militants.
At the same time, the so-called Taliban police chief in Daykundi, Sadikullah Abed, denies summary executions.
The Daikundi province was captured by the movement a day before the group’s militants entered Kabul on August 14. Afghan soldiers who were there and had weapons surrendered.
As reported OBOZREVATEL, the Taliban said that the life of civil servants in Afghanistan after the coming of the group to power will be “as familiar as possible.” For them announced an amnesty.
