Immediate and decisive action must be taken against those who continue to shoot into the air, the instructions say.
The Taliban have issued a ban on firing into the air throughout Afghanistan, a spokesman for the movement, Zabihullah Mujahid, said.
As highlighted in the instructions for field commanders, shooting leads to death and injury of people, and also spreads fear among civilians.
Immediate and decisive action must be taken against those who continue to shoot into the air, the instructions say. It emphasizes that the Taliban members themselves are often engaged in such shooting – and sanctions should also be applied to them.
On the evening of September 3, when the Taliban leadership announced the capture of the Panjshir province (this information later turned out to be incorrect), militants throughout the country began to mark the event by shooting in the air. As a result, more than 70 people were killed by accidental bullets.
Recall that earlier on Sunday, opposition spokesman Fahim Dashti said that the Parian district in the northeast of Panjshir, the seizure of which was previously announced by the Taliban, had been cleared and before 1000 Taliban were blocked and taken prisoner… It was also not possible to confirm this information.-
