“Talentino” Theater School, in partnership with the Municipality of Burgas, announces a National Competition for writing a play “I, the Playwright”. The initiative is aimed at young authors aged 10 to 19.
The idea is to encourage children with literary talent and to create new and fresh dramatic texts, says Stanimir Karagyozov, head of “Talentino”.
Two sections are planned – a dramatization of a fairy tale and an original author’s text. Participants will be in two age groups. The texts will be accepted online and the results will be announced on the eve of the New Year holidays.
The jury is already clear and it has a respectable composition: Hristina Arsenova – theater director and director of DKT – Burgas, Diana Valcheva – playwright, and Rumiana Emmanuelidou – editor and publisher.
The Municipality of Burgas will give out three prizes in each section and age group and will issue a collection of the awarded texts, which all users will receive as a gift. The plays that won first place in each section and group will be added and performed on stage by the company of the Talentino Theater School, and the authors will be invited to attend the premieres.
