“Talent Runs in the Blood of Foxy de la Roque: Winner of Fontainebleau Eight-Year-Old Horse Classes”

Just like Gaia de Farjonnière in the seven-year-old class, Foxy de la Roque, already winner of the first event for the eight-year-olds, won the final, ridden by Luxembourger Victor Bettendorf.

Another “de la Roque” that is being talked about! At Fontainebleau, the young Foxy de la Roque has also shown the full extent of her talent by winning twice in the classes reserved for eight-year-old horses. Full of blood, strength and with a real sense of the helm, the bay is somewhat reminiscent of his father, the Oldenburg Armitages Boy, former mount at the highest level of Aymeric de Ponnat and Lorenzo de Luca. His talent, Foxy de la Roque also inherits it from his maternal grandparents, the KWPN Kannan and the Selle Français Océane de Nantuel (Diamant de Semilly, SF), who have both proven themselves over 1.60 meters. In addition to sport, Océane de Nantuel has also proven her breeding qualities with Uthope de la Roque and Viceversa de la Roque, products of Kannan, who have also shot over 1.50 meters and more. And what about Karma de Nantuel (Quidam de Revel, SF), Foxy’s third dam, who gave birth to Thara Nantuel and Orphée de Nantuel, who distinguished themselves at a high level, but also Royaltie III, Foxy’s fourth dam, (Kaolin de Lyre, SF), whose number of products having participated in events rated at 1.40 meters and more is impressive. In short, the promising Foxy de la Roque comes from two excellent bloodlines and therefore has something to hold on to. A true faultless machine since its debut in competition, it should be talked about again in the future.

A 100% Selle Français podium

On the podium of this final, we find in second place the gelding fun of her, SF (Maloubet de Pleville, SF), who also carries the blood of Kannan thanks to his mother, Petite Etoile d’Elle, SF. Very energetic under the saddle of Frenchman Julien Anquetin (who has been training him since June 2021), the chestnut (who, at the start of the year, signs many clear rounds in CSI) has, thanks to this, been able to get ahead Moody’s Finesse, edited by Benoît Cernin. Promising daughter of the Westphalian Comme Il Faut, the former partner at the highest level of Marcus Ehning, and of the sBs Appia du Seigneur (Ogano Sitte, sBs), Finesse has already passed on her talent to Mowgly Fautrenne, a young Selle Français male born in 2022 from crossing Marie Pellegrin’s current accomplice, Deuxcatsix d’Eglefin, SF. On the sporting side, the bay is also very regularly at the prizes and recently ranked second in the Vichy Grand Prix Pro 1.
