Antonio Conte adds strong added value to an already very strong interist team, according to journalist Sandro Piccinini on Sky Sport Italia.
“His career speaks for itself. Conte is a coach who earns 12 M € per year, so we cannot dispute the idea that he brings added value. Inter have a very strong team, but it is not automatic that a strong team achieves its potential. Conte did very well in this regard, even if there is still this elimination in the Champions League that should not be forgotten.“
“Inter have a strong team, I wouldn’t go so far as to say that Conte turned water into wine or the stones into gold. It’s not like he’s taking Fiorentina or Bologna to the Scudetto. Inter are a high quality team, for the moment I would not trade Christian Eriksen, Nicolo Barella and Marcelo Brozovic for Adrien Rabiot, Aaron Ramsey and Rodrigo Bentancur at Juventus.“
Still on Sky Sport Italia, Matteo Marani believes that criticizing Conte because of his salary is unfounded.
“We sometimes talk about Conte’s salaries and it is thrown in his face as a criticism. But for me, the salary of 12 M € is an element in his favor, because it makes the difference with that. Furthermore, I think Conte used this delicate and negative situation well to unite the group. Inter have defensive strength now, so they didn’t. In the last seven games, she has conceded only one goal. I was surprised at how fiercely Conte was after the third goal against Genoa, he looked crazy, he made everyone give something more. Conte is for me the best coach in 38 games, if he has one game a week and he can manage. Finally, still on Sky Sport Italia, Fabio Capello was even more radical in thinking that Inter HAS ALREADY the Scudetto.
