Takes strong settlement: – People like to comment

The 32-year-old comes to Bislett Games in the shape of his life.

– I’m just really looking forward to it! she smiles to TV 2.

The prelude to Bislett Games has been incredible:

During a Grand Prix competition in South Africa in March, she ran to a personal record of 400 meters.

At the end of May, she finally managed to get under 52-blank in the 400 meter flat – before she only four days later set a new personal record in the 400 meter hurdles with 54.99.

– I have had to make some choices that gave me the peace to develop. I dropped the indoor season and went to South Africa this winter for eight weeks. There I competed outdoors season. I realized early on that if I continue to do things right, this will be fine. And it has exceeded all expectations, Kloster explains.

– If I had listened to everyone else, I would have finished a long time ago

Finally she smiles. But the road here has been long.

She has been asked several times to give up during the difficult periods.

– People like to comment. It may not always go well, but when you have had bad luck for several years, people start questioning you. Had I listened to everyone else, I would have been done long ago.

– The knowledge that I have not been trained as I want, and have not had an outlet for my potential, has made me willing to stand through shit. I continued, and now I finally get a small pay-off.

Kloster has previously talked about the comments to NRK. To have finally disproved those who doubted means a lot to the Vidar runner.

– Are you almost a little moved by the way you have hit back?

– Yes, but I would like to be without it. At the same time, it is part of doing sports. Had everyone been allowed to go through that way, I would not have recommended doing so. It’s just amazing to stand here and say that people are wrong.

Gets bragged

– She has only really had a good season, Iuel begins, before she continues:

– I treat her to this progress. She has been through a lot of injuries, so the fact that she finally had an injury-free winter and has been able to train with good continuity, is just fun, simply.

Kloster arrives at Bislett Games knowing that she already holds the European Championship and World Cup requirement of 400 meters hurdles.

– What is extra nice when I look back on my races, is that I see that there is potential for improvement. Now I’m just looking forward to continuing, says Kloster.
