A Take-Two recently purchased Zynga, a mobile game developer known for games like FarmVille e Mafia Wars. In a meeting with investors, the CEO of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, said that the idea of the acquisition would be to enable its large franchises in the mobile market. Among those cited by Zelnick are Grand Theft Auto, NBA 2K, Borderlands and, to the surprise of many, Midnight Club.

The surprise came from the fact that Rockstar’s racing game series hasn’t received a new title since 2009, when it was released. Midnight Club: Los Angeles Complete Edition for PS3 and Xbox 360. In addition, it was the only franchise cited by the CEO of Take-Two that did not have a game released in the 2010s.
In April 2021, Midnight Club: Los Angeles It’s back on sale at the Xbox store after a while missing due to copyright renewal for the songs used. Fans were excited, speculating that a new title would be announced, which did not happen.
