Given the relaxation of the community, the Argentine Society of Vaccination and Epidemiology (SAVE) calls for support for protection and then unite to encourage safety
As part of the first days of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, the socArgentine Association of Vaccination and Epidemiology (SAVE) called on the community to apply Covid-19 reinforcements, to stay protected from the virus and then come together to cheer safely.
The covid continues to circulate like other respiratory viruses. Despite the general relaxation of the population, it is still necessary to complete the vaccination schedule and continue with the treatments to prevent contagion.
The booster of the vaccine is important to support the protection: it helps stimulate the memory of the immune system as a reminder and prevent the development of severe forms of the disease.1.

“Continuing to raise awareness of this disease and prevention strategies, SAVE has now launched the “Take the red light off COVID-19” campaign, taking advantage of the context of the World Cup. Of the 41 million people who started the vaccination program, 91% completed the primary programme. However, only 22 and 6 million of these received the first and second booster respectively, representing 50% and 14% of the initial number of people vaccinated. In the pediatric population, coverage is even more worrying. Vaccines have proven to be the main allies in defeating the pandemic, so we must take advantage of the fact that we have them available and apply them to ourselves,” said Florencia Cahn, president of SAVE.
