Take That singer Gary Barlow commemorates her late daughter

Gary’s heart broke when his daughter Poppy was born dead 8 years ago. “Thanks for the sweet messages,” writes the Take That singer on Instagram. “We’ll hold on.” In the photo he can be seen with his wife Dawn. Poppy was stillborn in 2012, a few days before he would host the closing ceremony of the Olympics.

“Her birth was one of the best hours I’ve experienced in my life, even if it was the most tragic,” Gary wrote in his autobiography in 2018 A Better Me. “It was very impressive.” He and his family could be with Poppy for a while. “She looked perfect that hour she was with us.”

Gary’s wife Dawn developed post-traumatic Type 1 diabetes after Poppy’s stillbirth. The couple previously had three children, Daniel (19), Emily (18) and Daisy (11).

Gary recently had a virtual reunion with his Take That buddies, which also included Robbie Williams. You can see all about it in the video below.
