After the leak, there was a lot of buzz on the internet, the puzzle was the launch of Asus Zenfone 8 was finally revealed. The Taiwanese technology giant has announced its birth schedule.
Through its official page, Asus informs that Zenfone 8 will be launched on May 13 at 01.00 Taipei time or around 00.00 WIB. The event will be held online considering that there is still a pandemic.
Asus did not mention the details of the specifications that the Zenfone 8. will bring, but they confirmed the phone will be “Big on Performance” and “Compact in Size”.
Big on Performance leads the chipset to be used. Referring to the leak, Zenfone 8 will be equipped with Snapdragon 888.
With this kitchen runway, the new Asus cellphone won a high score in the Geekbench test. In single core testing, it got 1124, while multi core got 3669. This score is not much different from other Snapdragon 888 cellphone lines.

While Compact in Size leads to the Zenfone 8 Mini. This phone will carry a 5.9 inch screen. Even though the performance is small, it will speed up, because Zenfone 8 is also equipped with Snapdragon 888 combined with 16GB of RAM.
The phone will also carry 30W of charging. To capture the moment, the Zenfone 8 Mini will carry the Sony IMX686 64MP main camera along with the new Sony IMX663 module.
Meanwhile, the Zenfone 8 will carry four cameras. The composition is the main camera IMX686 64MP, 12MP Sony IMX663, a 24MP OmniVision OV24B1Q and 8MP OmniVision OV08A telephoto module.
All Zenfone 8 series phones are expected to pack an OLED screen with Full HD + resolution. Following the trend, Asus provides all its devices with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Apart from Zenfone 8 and 8 Mini, it is rumored that Asus will introduce the Zenfone Flip. Whether or not we will prove it at the launch event next month.
