Synoptics of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first-degree warnings against hailstorms in the provinces:

Podkarpackie, in the following poviats: Bieszczady, Lesko, Sanok, Krosno, Krosno, Jasło;

Lesser, in the following poviats: Gorlice, Nowosądecki, Nowy Sącz, Nowy Sącz and Tatra.

There are forecasts for storms with rainfall of up to 25 liters per square meter in places and gusts of up to 65 kilometers per hour. Hail in places.

– Please take care of yourself in the south-east – warned tvnmeteo.pl presenter Tomasz Wasilewski on TVN24. – In the afternoon, storms can be – as it happens in the mountains – violent and quite unexpected. It is worth observing the sky and looking for shelter in advance or not going to the mountains at all, if you can see that something is happening in the storm sky – he appealed.

The alarms will go into effect at 1pm. They will be valid until 11pm in Małopolska and until midnight in Podkarpacie.

Risk forecast for Sunday

On Sunday, first degree warnings about dangerous phenomena are possible everywhere outside the province Lubuskie and Podlasie.

Storms are forecast to occur with rainfall of 15-30 l / sq m, locally about 40 l / sq m and gusts of wind up to 65-80 km / h. Apart from Lower Silesia and the Opole region, hail is also possible.

Risk forecast for Monday

At the beginning of the next week, be careful in the east due to thunderstorms with local hailstorms. IMWM plans to issue first degree alarms in the following voivodeships: Warmia-Mazury, Podlaskie, Lublin i Podkarpackie.

Storms with rainfall are expected to occur from 15 to 20 l / sq m, locally up to 30 l / sq m. The wind gusts can reach up to 65 km / h.
