The Indonesian automotive exhibition, Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) will finally be held again on November 11-21, 2021, after being temporarily discontinued due to the pandemic. Before returning to the excitement of the GIIAS car show, detikOto tried to bring back detikOto feel the atmosphere of the car show in 1985.

Looking back at the GIIAS 2021 automotive show, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia has given permission to hold the 2021 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) which is planned to take place 11-21 November 2021. However, the government requires GIIAS organizers to implement strict health protocols.

This was conveyed directly by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves), Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, during the PPKM press conference, Jakarta, October 11, 2021.
“The car exhibition (GIIAS) 2021, we will see later there should be no problems, but with strict protocols,” said Luhut.
The following is a list of car and motorcycle manufacturers that will be present at GIIAS 2021:
passenger vehicles; Audi, BMW, Daihatsu, DFSK, Hino, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, MG, Mini, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Renault, Suzuki, Toyota, VW, and Wuling.
Commercial vehicles; Isuzu, Hino, Mitsubishi Fuso, and Scania.
Motorcycle; Honda, Benelli, Piaggio, Vespa, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, United E-Motor.
