Take a peek at Bill Gates’ cellphone of choice, widescreen suitable for reading journals

Co-founder of tech giant Microsoft, Bill Gates, revealed that he prefers to use Android rather than iPhone. Here are the specifications device hers.

So far, Gates admits that he still uses an Android phone, namely the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, which he got from Samsung’s boss, Jay Young Lee, during a visit to South Korea (South Korea).

Gates explained this in an answer on the Reddit forum themed “Ask Me Anything”. Previously, Gates used the Galaxy Z Fold 3 which was also produced by Samsung.

“I have a Samsung Fold 4 that Samsung Director JY Lee gave me when I met him in South Korea to update my Fold 3. Of course I use Outlook and a lot of Microsoft software on it,” Gates said.

“The screen size of this phone means I don’t need to use a tablet but just a cellphone and a PC portable me,” he added.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is a cellphone released by a technology giant from South Korea in August 2022. This cellphone is the fourth in a series of folding smartphones from Samsung.

The Z Fold 4 screen panel consists of a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X with a resolution of 2176 x 1812 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Then after being folded like a book, there is a secondary screen with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a size of 6.2 inches, a resolution of 2316 x 904 pixels, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

There is a camera under the screen or UDC. The Fold 4 has a capacity of 4,400mAh and supports fast wireless charging and Wireless Powershare.

The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip and is equipped with 12GB of RAM. The Fold 4 supports input from the S Pen Pro and S Pen Fold Edition on its internal screen.

On the camera section there are three camera sensors, a 50 MP main sensor, a 12 MP ultrawide camera, and a 10 MP telephoto camera.

The front camera and selfie in front (where it folds) have the same 4-MP and 10-MP setup respectively. The phone is capable of a combined 30x zoom to the Fold 4, thanks to the 3x optical zoom through its telephoto lens.

This folding phone has dimensions of 155.1 x 130.1 x 6.3 mm and weighs 263 grams, and comes in Phantom Black, Graygreen, Beige and Burgundy color variants.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 4 is priced on the global market starting at US$1,799 (around Rp. 26.6 million. The following are market prices in the country:

Previously, Gates had expressed his visionary thoughts about technology in 2062. According to him, at this time cellphones that fit in the pocket are still popular devices in the public as a result of a combination of chips and software.

However, Gates admits that he is not too focused on cellphones. He admits he prefers large-screen PCs because he “loves sending long emails, reading long documents and research journals.”

“I’m not as mobile-centric as the younger generation, but the mix-up (phone and PC) works well. I can keep working at the foundation even when I’m on the move. Equipment keeps getting better, but there’s still a long way to go and a lot of potential,” he was quoted as saying PCMag.
