review
“Le Grand Escalier”
Written and directed by Yoshimasa Saito

Takarazuka Revue has produced a variety of revue works since Japan’s first revue, “I am Paris, Mon Paris,” was performed in 1927 as a work by Tatsuya Kishida, who returned to Japan after visiting Europe and America. On this 110th anniversary year, we will deliver a brilliant review piece that pays homage to our accumulated history and our predecessors.
Ladies and gentlemen dancing in the enchanting Paris, a brave matador standing in the bullring of Granada, young men living downtown dreaming of the skyscrapers of New York… And at the end of their dreams lies a majestic grand staircase (Le Grand Escalier) illuminated with dazzling light! A dreaming stage that will bring you exciting and beautiful Takarazuka Revue masterpieces.
